Submissions (Edit)

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 13, 2007, 11:24 AM
I've decided to take Sae Jin's () suggestion and would like to start submitting pieces under this account in order to showcase all you lovely talented SCA members. This way, the deviation will appear on the front page of DA (for maybe a milisecond?) and the community will get some attention.

I will be asking for submissions 2 ways.
1) You can send ME a note - follow guidelines below.
PRO - you can choose what you feel are your best works
CON - I may reject it if I feel it's not presentable

OR

2) I will send YOU a note asking if I can post certain pieces that I think are really good and feel that they should get attention on this page. You, of course will always have a right to decline since it's your work. I won't force you if you don't want to.
PRO - you will not be rejected (since I'm asking you if I can post it under the community account)
CON - I may not necessarily choose the one(s) you feel is your best

Either way, you will receive full credit, and I will direct any and all comments & favs to the original piece.

To submit by sending note:

Please send a note to this account indicating which pieces you would like me to post.

Please put the LINKS in the note and not just title names 'cause it would be a pain to go searching through your gallery if you have like 500 devs in your gallery.

A maximum of 5 pieces for now until I feel that everyone has had a fair chance to submit something. I will announce another round of submissions when I feel everyone has had a chance.

It doesn't necessarily have to be school related but if you can include at least one piece, that would be great.

The works you submit to this club should:

:bulletred: be works you are proud of and that you think exhibit your best. I'm not expecting UDON quality, but something you sincerely put effort into.

:bulletred:display professionalism. I don't mean it has to be industry level but it should be something that looks like you can present to an employer.

Examples of what I WON'T accept:
-drawings shot with digital camera with bits of the wall you shot it on still visible and bad lighting. Use Photoshop to crop it and colour adjust.
-figure/character drawings with limbs cut off in weird places (this DOES NOT apply to studies of body parts and intentionally cropped pieces for compositional purposes)
-scanned material that's not cropped or colour adjusted properly
-photos with bad composition, bad focus, bad image quality
-etc.

Just... use good judgement overall.

Start sending them, please. :D I will do my best to get the pieces up as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Hi Alex. Thanks for letting me know which pieces you want to submit.

I just want to clarify... Are you ok with me submitting these 3 under this account? Like.. I'm going to actually put them in this account's gallery. I will give credit to you in the comments section and tell people to comment and fav the original at your gallery.
